Flying ‘hypercar’ Volar eVTOL ready for take-off, completes test flight in Dubai

Test flight completion of Volar eVTOL London-based startup Bellwether Industries completed a series of test flights for its flying ‘hypercar’, Volar eVTOL. In a video shared by Bellwether, the fully-electric Volar eVTOL was seen taking off and landing back safely. Designed for inner-city travel, the half-scale prototype of the flying ‘hypercar’ flew at an altitude of 13 feet with a speed of 40 kilometers per hour. The current prototype can accommodate 2 passengers but the final model will be a four to five-seater to carry families. eVTOL seeks to replace cars for private owners and provide on-demand transport like Uber to reduce congestion on the roads. Bellwether classifies the Volar as “a new category of transport, an urban air mobility aircraft for private use”. Kai-Tse (KT) Lin, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Bellwether Industries said, “Our volar flies smoothly and proves our efforts that go into innovation and technology. We are confident in our volar and will strive for perfection with continuous improvement.” The future of urban air mobility The flying ‘hypercar’ eVTOL stands for electric vertical takeoff and life aircraft. It can take off and land vertically and includes a hidden propulsion system. The compact and environmentally friendly flying hypercar is the first eVTOL without a large wingspan or exposed blades. Final model of the vehicle can carry four to five people at 3000 ft with a top speed of 220kph. “We believe that people commuting in the sky is inevitable within the next 10 years. Therefore, we create a volar for anyone to fly anytime and anywhere to any point,” the firm said. The team spent the past two years conducting “several phases of iteration” to improve the vehicle’s flight performance. The test “demonstrated stability and controllability of the prototype and would be the start of a series of development projects”, the firm said. The test flight took off last November and it was revealed a day after Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) held its first legal forum to review legislations for flying taxis. Conclusion According to the report, the full-scale prototype of the Volar eVTOL is set for its tests by 2023. By 2028, it is expected to be available for on-demand transport and 2030 for private owners. As Bellwether said, everyone has the right to fly. Pagani reveals Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta powered with 816 HP   Pacchetto Tempesta is a limited and a stunning sportscar Pagani has taken the covers off the Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta, and it is a super-limited, stunning sportscar! Revealed during the 2021 Monterey Car Week in California, the Pacchetto Tempesta package celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Huayra. Its name translates to “Storm Pack” and stands as a Benny Caiola (BC) version. The Pagani Huayra, which first debuted in early 2011, has contributed a big part to the brand’s reputation. And this year, using the brand’s high-performance platform, Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta offers the latest range of upgrades and advancements for Pagani. In addition, a special selection of the models will be displayed on its debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering event scheduled on August 13th. The Pacchetto Tempesta package is a flaunt of dark green hue in a carbon fibre body. It comes with a dark grey contrast of the carbon frunk up to its glass-covered cockpit and carbon-fibre engine cover. Pacchetto Tempesta’s more powered engine   Huarya BC Pacchetto Tempesta will sport a more powerful engine. Pagani has equipped the sports car with a more slightly powerful Mercedes-Benz AMG-sourced 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12. This can produce 816 HP and 811 lb-ft. of torque. Complementing a stunning racetrack performance includes a new front splitter and dedicated air intake that maximizes aerodynamic efficiency. Its new rear wing features an integrated central fin, and six-pipe exhaust system. The new exhaust system consists of the brand’s signature quad pipe set up at the center. In addition, an added two new pipes are pushed out from the rear diffuser. Pacchetto Tempesta also features a twin headlamp on each side. And for a promise of smoother riding experience, a new “Soft Driving Mode” is also installed. It also claims to offer “striking interior details” that include a 2-seater premium cabin with automatic climate control. This car also provides innovations like cameras, ABS, traction controls, and other interior details for this special edition.   Pacchetto Tempesta joined by other Pagani super-and hypercars   The display of the Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta on The Quail will be joined by the exclusive exhibition of the different models from 2011 up to the present. It will also show off one of the 40 Huayra Roadster BCs and showcase the key components of the Huayra R project. Huayra R project will feature the all-new Pagani V12-R naturally aspirated engine. In addition, the six-speed sequential gearbox created in collaboration with HWA will be on display. Huayra R project promises to provide a thrilling driving performance of a racing car using the ultra-light Carbo-Titanium HP62-G2 and Carbo-Triax HP64 monocoque. The celebration continues on August 14 at the iconic Laguna Seca raceway where a parade of Pagani hypercars will take place. On the other hand, the pricing detail of the Pacchetto Tempesta is yet to be announced. However, given a standard Huayra BC starting price of $2, 550, 000, the new package may cost even more than that. World’s Biggest Maserati Showroom Now Open In Dubai

Maserati has scaled up its presence in Dubai by inaugurating a showroom with the brand’s largest car display area anywhere in the world. The new facility, opened by the Italian firm’s official importer Al Tayer Motors, is four times as big as the previous showroom, covering 3,644 square metres. The showroom is situated in the Al Manara area on Sheikh Zayed Road. Spanning five floors with two underground levels for parking, the facility hosts a special delivery suite for Maserati owners to collect their new cars. The building also houses the Maserati sales team offices.
